Hypoxia & Pressure for Precious Stem Cells: Enhanced Reprogramming and Improved Differentiation

Traditionally, cellular biology has been performed in standard CO2 incubators under ambient oxygen and pressure conditions, which has presented many limitations in the field as the human body is known to be a hypoxic and pressurized environment. Using the Xcell Biosciences AVATAR System, we can control both oxygen and pressure to better mimic the various microenvironments found in the human body. As a result, this technology has enabled researchers to enhance reprogramming as well as differentiation of cells with greater efficiency and improved marker expression.

A superior approach to DNA and RNA isolation for FFPE samples

The Ionic system uses isotachophoresis to isolate, purify, and concentrate genomic DNA and RNA from cells, tissue, and FFPE samples. DNA and RNA samples prepared by the system require just a few minutes of hands-on time per sample. The workflow requires no binding, stripping, or washing from fixed surfaces. Higher yields, higher quality nucleic acids, and ultimately, better data for your research.

Flow Cytometry in Drug Discovery: Establishment of high throughput screening assays in 384 well plates.

Flow Cytometry is an indispensable part of an immunologist’s toolbox, allowing for the deep characterization of cellular and molecular phenotypes at the resolution of a single cell. It plays a crucial role in drug discovery.

Until recently, drug screening assays based on flow cytometry were limited to low to medium throughput. However, with the advent of the NovoCyte Quanteon™ and its walk-away automation using the NovoSampler Q™, we can now perform high-throughput drug screening assays in a 384-well format.  This advancement significantly enhances our ability to identify potential drug candidates efficiently and accelerate the drug discovery process.
